Senior Center

Are you a resident aged 60 or over? We’d love to welcome you at our vibrant senior center located at 30 Converse Street!

What We Do

Our schedule is packed with activities to exercise your mind, body, and social calendar. We’re also a resource for hot topics, from legal and financial planning to health insurance. Read all about our upcoming programs and activities in our latest newsletter.

Click the links to your left to view some of the resources we have available, including financial assistance programs, transportation, medical equipment, and more.

Interested in volunteering? We’d love to welcome you to our community. Please fill out this application and send it to our team.

Winter Advisory

If inclement weather causes the cancellation of Wakefield Public Schools, the Council on Aging will not provide transportation services and the center will be closed. If Wakefield Schools have a delayed opening, the center is open but no transportation services will be available. The Council reserves the right to cancel transportation services when necessary.

Special Needs Accomodations

We make every effort to accommodate the special needs of participants here at the center and on trips. We recommend that persons have sufficient mobility and that persons who require assistance with activities of daily living have a companion join them.  We regret that we cannot be responsible for special individual assistance for walking, dining, or personal needs.
