The town of Wakefield has taken action as we welcome a more diverse population. The entirety of our staff took part in initial training surrounding the topic of diversity and inclusion. During the summer months of 2021, a 60 minute training was administered to educate managers and employees on the basics of unconscious bias, microaggressions, stereotypes, and many other subjects. Additionally, we encourage staff as well as community members to visit "types of bias" which defines several more topics that support diversity and inclusion.
