Learn About Teen Gambling Trends: Caregiver Webinar April 25

Online gambling and sports betting have become more popular, and gambling among teenagers is on the rise. According to the National Council on Problem Gambling, approximately 60 percent of high-school-aged adolescents report having gambled for money in the last year, and children are at higher risk than adults for developing a gambling problem.

The Wakefield Public Schools Parent University series, in partnership with the Wake-Up Coalition, the Wakefield Health and Human Services Department, and Riverside Community Care, will host a virtual webinar for caregivers on April 25 to explore the topic. Local experts will provide information on current gambling trends and signs to look for in your teen.  Attendees will also learn the symptoms of problem gambling and strategies to help you talk to your teen about gambling and its risks.

Join via Zoom on Thursday, April 25 from 7 to 8 p.m. using Meeting ID 826 4096 1261.
