Americal Civic Center

Our building has served the town since 1913. Originally an armory, the facility has been transformed into a vibrant multi-purpose community center. In active daily use by many Wakefield nonprofit organizations and businesses, the Americal also offers function rentals of two of the town's most appealing spaces, the Heritage Room and the Drill Hall.

The Americal Civic Center was operated by the Americal Civic Center Association, a nonprofit organization, for 34 years. It is owned by the Town of Wakefield and, on March 1, 2017, the Town of Wakefield assumed management control.
