Human Resources

The mission of the Human Resources Department is to assist Town officials, managers, and employees to fairly and consistently administer policies, practices and contracts. Our office provides support to over 1200 full-time, part-time and temporary employees and over 600 retirees. 

Town Personnel

  • Administering contracts, policies, and procedures
  • Maintaining classification and compensation plans
  • Payroll implementation and management
    • For help with individual, biweekly paychecks or accruals, please contact your Payroll Division
  • FMLA and all other leave management
  • Recruitment, onboarding, and separation
  • Wakefield Public School Employees, contact the Central Office for issues relating to the aforementioned matters.
