I ran over a pothole. Will the town reimburse me for damages to my vehicle?

If you believe you have a claim of damages due to a public way defect, you must present the claim in writing to the Town Clerk within 30 days of the accident and specify as precisely as possible the nature and location of the alleged defect and the date of the harm. Please note that the existence of a public way defect does not mean the Town is responsible to pay for damages caused by it. There must be evidence that the Town knew about the defect and delayed unreasonably in fixing it.
