Forestry Division

The Forestry Division is responsible for the planting, pruning, spraying, and removal of public shade trees on public property throughout the Town as well as emergency tree issues that may arise. The team also performs an extensive amount of seasonal work around Lake Quannapowitt to improve the experience for residents and guests using the grounds adjacent to our great resource. During the winter, this division takes an active role in snow removal activities and participates in sidewalk plowing events when roadways are clear.  

The Town of Wakefield congratulates Dennis Fazio for being named the 2021 Tree Warden of the Year by the Massachusetts Tree Wardens’ and Foresters’ Association (MTWFA).
