The annual Town Election was held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. The official results can be viewed here.


General Voting Information

Wakefield residents vote centrally at the Galvin Middle School located at 525 Main Street. The voting location is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on election days. Knowing your precinct allows for a quicker check-in. Residents can easily lookup their precincts using this online tool.

Residents can register to vote in three ways:

Absentee Voting

In order to be eligible to vote by absentee ballot in Massachusetts, voters must be prevented from voting at their polling locations on Election Day, due to:

  • absence from the voter's city or town on Election Day; or
  • physical disability; or
  • religious belief
