ABSENTEE BALLOTS

Absentee ballots have arrived for the Special Referendum Election to be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018. The absentee ballots will be available at the office of the Town Clerk on Monday, June 11, 2018 for those registered voters who wish to vote at Town Hall.

Absentee ballot applications are available at the office of the Town Clerk as well as on the Town of Wakefield website for those registered voters who wish to have absentee ballots mailed to them.

In order to be eligible to vote absentee, a registered voter must be unable to vote at the polls on Election Day due to her/his absence from the municipality during polling hours, a person’s disability or religious beliefs.

The deadline for our office to receive an application to vote absentee, which is a prerequisite, is 12:00 noon on Monday June 25, 2018.

Private voting booths are available adjacent to the office.
