Why wasn’t my trash or recycling picked up?

Your trash or recycling may not have been picked up for a number of reasons. To ensure your trash and recycling is collected:

• Place all trash and recycling at the curb by 7 a.m. Trucks will not return for trash placed at the curb later than 7 a.m.
• Sort trash and recycling in their appropriate containers. Recycling bins that contain trash will not be picked up. Items on the MassDEP Waste Ban list that are in the trash will not be picked up. The following items are banned from disposal: glass, metal, paper, cardboard, tires, and cathode ray tubes. Here's a complete list and more information. 
• Use a Town-issued blue refuse container or Town-issued overflow bag for all trash. Trash placed in other containers will not be picked up.
• Use a Town-issued recycling bin or barrel clearly marked recycling for your recyclables. Recycling placed in other containers will not be picked up.
