Remember or honor a Veteran this holiday season with a paver on the Walk of Remembrance at World War II Memorial

(Wakefield, MA) – Looking for a unique gift for a Veteran or active service member this holiday season? Why not consider sponsoring a paver on the Veterans’ Walk of Remembrance on Wakefield’s Veterans’ Memorial Common?

Individuals and families who would like to sponsor a paver on the Veterans’ Walk of Remembrance on Wakefield’s Veterans’ Memorial Common must contact Eric Sherman at the Wakefield Department of Public Works at 781-246-6309, or via email at esherman@wakefield.ma.us, to pick out a location and fill out all paper work by Wednesday, December 20th if they would like to have an acknowledgement of the sponsorship in time for the Christmas holiday. Certificates of acknowledgement will be ready to be mailed out, or picked up at the DPW office at the Town Hall, on Thursday, December 21st. Pavers will be placed on the Veterans’ Walk of Remembrance in time for Memorial Day.

The paver can be contributed in honor of, or in memory of, any veteran who has served or is currently serving in the Armed Forces of the United States. The individual does not have to be a resident of Wakefield. 

Pavers can be sponsored with a contribution of $500.00 for a 12” x 12” paver or $300.00 for a 6” x 12” paver.
