Wakefield Tax Exemption Program: Now Accepting Applications

Residents aged 60 and over could qualify for an exemption of $750.00 (less tax) on their real estate tax bills in exchange for 50 hours of service to the Town of Wakefield. Learn more about this and other financial assistance programs

Winter Advisory

If inclement weather causes the cancellation of Wakefield Public Schools, the Council on Aging will not provide transportation services and the center will be closed. If Wakefield Schools have a delayed opening, the center is open but no transportation services will be available. The Council reserves the right to cancel transportation services when necessary.

Special Needs Accommodations

We make every effort to accommodate the special needs of participants here at the center and on trips. We recommend that persons have sufficient mobility and that persons who require assistance with activities of daily living have a companion join them.  We regret that we cannot be responsible for special individual assistance for walking, dining, or personal needs.
