What is the Reedy Meadow Rail Trail Alliance?

The Reedy Meadow Rail Trail Alliance (RMRTA), is a non-profit organization founded to advance the same goals as the Wakefield Rail-to-Trail Committee. The only major difference is that it includes representatives from both Wakefield and Lynnefield. RMRTA will provide the ability to organize our community's interests and to raise money for the completion of the project.

RMRTA has received 501(c)(3) designation approval from Federal authorities. The Commonwealth Department of Public Charities has granted non-profit status, as well. As we await word from the Governor's office and the Federal government regarding release of funds for the Design and Engineering phase of the project, the RMRTA has yet to plan any official fundraising events.
